Palestinians in Gaza have been granted limited relief through the ceasefire agreement that has finally been reached. However, they are still facing bombardment and targeted attacks across Gaza, Jerusalem and the Occupied West Bank. Both the joy and continued grief of the Palestinian people serve as a reminder of our need to take urgent and meaningful action.
On Thursday 13th February UCU and students at UoN, together with trade unions and students across the country, answer the call of Palestinian trade unionists by taking action in our workplace demanding that our university
1) establishes scholarships for Palestinian students and staff;
2) ends all co-operation with Israeli institutions of Higher Education; and
3) divests from research projects with arms manufacturers.
Come and join our staff-student protest rally in Trent courtyard at 1 p.m., when we hand over our Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions signature list to the Vice Chancellor. Attend the online Zoom seminar at 3.30 p.m. featuring the following talks
