3rd December – UCU supports International Day of the Disabled

The UN has declared the 3rd of December as the Day of the Disabled Person.

The disability civil rights movement has a long history and several activists have lost their lives fighting to achieve equality for disabled people. Let’s not forget the sacrifice that these people have made to ensure that we live in a society that is tolerant and free from discrimination.

I have included  a web  link that outlines the history of the disability civil rights movement. http://www.ucu.org.uk/media/pdf/4/h/ucu_disposter.pdf
Please support this very important day by circulating this link to clients colleagues, friends and students.

Let’s not forget…
